You must have a Residential VPN account to use this service.

Passepartout is a 3rd party VPN App - it is not developed by us, StreamVia.

Passepartout provides the ability to use your BT Residential IP VPN with an App directly on an Apple TV - without a VPN router.

However, the Apple TV version does require a paid-for add-on. This is separate to your StreamVia subscription.


Step 1

• First, setup the Passepartout App on your iPhone or iPad
• Make sure that the VPN connects successfully, on your iPhone/iPad
• The VPN profiles from your iPhone/iPad, can then be shared to the Apple TV version via iCloud.

Step 2

• Start the Passepartout App, on your iPhone/iPad
• Tap on the … (3 dots, right-hand side), next to the option you want to send to the Apple TV
• Tap on Edit

Step 3

• From the iCloud menu
• Enable the iCloud slider
• Enable the Apple TV slider
• Tap Save top right

Step 4

• You will then be prompted to purchase the Apple TV add-on
• Tap Purchase to continue

Step 5

• Different billing options, will then be shown, based on your Apple ID local currency
• Select the desire billing option
• This charge is for the Passepartout Apple TV App, it is separate to your StreamVia subscription

Step 6

• On your Apple TV, make sure you manually set a UK time and timezone
• Settings → General → Date & Time
• Disable Set automatically
• Manually set to London time

Step 7

• On your Apple TV, make sure you disable Location Services
• Settings → General → Privacy & Security
• Disable Location Services

Step 8

• Next, go to the App Store on your Apple TV
• Install the Passepartout, VPN Client App on your Apple TV
• It is important that both your iPhone/iPad and Apple TV use the same Apple ID

Step 9

• Start the Passepartout App, on your Apple TV
• The Apple TV will download the shared VPN profiles, via iCloud
• It may take 30 seconds or so, for the profiles to sync via iCloud

Step 10

• On the Apple TV, make sure Profile is selected along the top of the screen
• Then go to Select
• On the right-hand side of the screen, you will be able to select the same iPhone/iPad VPN profile

Step 11

• Tap Connect on the Apple TV
